Evil websites, thanks to COVID-19
Since the end of February, there have been close to 11,000 new websites created about the Corona Virus.
Eleven Thousand. Let that sink in.
That’s about 10 times the normal number of new websites in the same time frame.
BE CAREFUL of ads on Facebook, or any other social outlet, and on email, directing you to a special website for COVID-19 maps or charities. Many are scams or malicious sites.
If you’re going to donate to charities, go through the charities you trust, not one that was just created special for this event. I would be very suspicious of those.
And by absolutely NO MEANS ever follow a link for a charity or to donate money for any cause if it’s emailed to you, unsolicited.
Be safe during this pandemic… both physically and virtually.
